Welcome! If you are a mother who struggles with chronic illness, if you are going through a time of trial or sorrow or even if you are just feeling exhausted from the daily demands of life, this section is especially for you.

For the past nine years I have struggled with an often crippling chronic illness. Sometimes better, sometimes worse, but always there presenting a challenge to one degree or another. Five of those years, including the past two, I have spent partially bedridden. This has been such a heartache to me – especially because of all the time I have missed with my children – and very difficult for our whole family.

The Lord has been so faithful though. We know that all things come through His hands and that He works all things together for our good. He has blessed us again and again in this trial. We are so thankful for the lessons He has taught us through these hard years; one of which is compassion for others in similar circumstances.

My heart so goes out to other mothers who have health issues, who have grown weary or are going through a difficult season. Motherhood is a calling and a work like no other; and mothering through sickness, fatigue and trial presents a special challenge. I have been there. I still am there. And it is such a comfort to know that our faithful God is there with us.

My hope is to share with you the beautiful Truths He has reminded me of on hard days, to point you to Him, to encourage you when the way seems dark, weary and lonely – and to remind myself of these things as well. I also hope to offer some simple ideas for homeschooling and running a full household on limited (or no) energy, as well as information on nutritional products that are helping me regain my health. I hope to learn from you as well.

Let’s encourage each other to take heart, to be strong, to be of good cheer and of good courage. Our God is the God of the impossible; the Giver of Strength in weakness, Light in darkness, Joy in sorrow, Beauty for ashes, Faithfulness in affliction and Hope for eternity.

Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:28-31

William Bradford

Thank you for your example Emily - for so beautifully living this out in your daily, obedient, God glorifying faithfulness. #vigilforem

Fellow Christians, don’t let the Left shame you Fellow Christians, don’t let the Left shame you into accepting defeat. The media does not get to decide who is the President of the United States.

Standing and fighting for truth is NOT being a “sore loser”. Recognizing and acknowledging that fraud is being committed, and calling for justice to be served, is not only absolutely appropriate, it’s crucial. There IS a time to stand and fight. There IS a time to draw a line in the sand.

The election of a President isn’t on the same level as sports. The future of our country hangs in the balance. This isn’t about having a good, fair game and then laughing and shaking hands and slapping each other on the back and continuing with life as usual.

Nor is this just “politics”. You cannot separate politics from morality. There is right, and there is wrong. The Left stands and fights for things that fly in the face of God. The Left creates gods in their own image. The Left tramples the Word of God. The Left is determined to allow babies to literally be brutally tortured and murdered and offered on the altars of their false gods. The Left has spent months sowing discord, rewriting history, redefining words, rioting, looting, killing, and burning down the country.

Consider these things before you capitulate to manipulation and gas lighting and blame shifting.

Consider these things before you try to be a “good sport” and congratulate Joe Biden, or say “God bless him”, or wish him well. Think long and hard about what you are actually doing and whose side you are on:

“For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.” 2 John 1:11

Pray. This is a war that is being waged in the heavenlies. Stand firm. Draw the line. Hold the line. Fight for truth. Our God is the God of Truth and He wins. The battle is the Lord’s.
